An afternoon conversation : )

     I had the honor of spending an afternoon with Prof. Greg Emery, senior lecturer at The University of Akron, where the focus of conversation was music. We spoke of Bill Evans and Chet Baker, Bach and Wager. We discussed industry. research, and of course we discussed pipe organs.

    We discussed at length the various organ-builders in Ohio, and we exchanged organ stories and laughed and bonded. I even played the organ of the Bishop Heber Chapel for him, warts and all. A delightful experience and a wonderful way to end the afternoon. It is such a joy when music can transcend every difference and bring people together like this!
